Scotland are looking to end a seven-game winless run so a game against minnows Gibraltar is coming at just the right time for Steve Clarke and his troops.
Having wrapped up qualification for Euro 2004 in Germany with games to spare after a blistering start, the Scots tailed off and need to get back on track following defeats to the Netherlands and Northern Ireland in their March double header, which left the nation on a downer ahead of the squad being named for the big one.Scotland have played Gibraltar twice and rattled in six goals on both occasions so it's a fixture that should, on paper at least, allow them to get a confidence-boosting result against a nation ranked 203rd in the world, below even the likes of the Cayman Islands.
The Tartan Army will follow the team before a Hampden send off game against Finland with the players then boarding that plane to Germany for a summer extravaganza.
The match will be played on Monday, June 3 at the the Estadio Algarve. Kick-off is 5pm UK time. The match will be shown on Premier Sports 1 with coverage getting up and running from 4.30pm.
