Wolves face the club responsible for their biggest FA Cup humiliation on Friday night. Between 1980 and 1986, the Black Country club had gone from League Cup winners and a place in the UEFA Cup to the fourth division (now League Two).
The nadir was reached when in the first round of the 1986/87 FA Cup when they drew Chorley, then of the Northern Premier League - the seventh tier of English football.
The first match was a 1-1 draw, as was the first replay. In the second replay the Lancashire side thumped Wolves 3-0. This season, despite their struggles in the Premier League, Wolves are nowhere near the fourth tier and beat Crystal Palace in the last round.
