Only some of Chelsea's big summer signings are expected to take make their debuts at Brighton on Monday night. Since the final day of last season, the Blues have spent nearly £200million, adding Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell to their squad, while the likes of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech are also now eligible to play.
However, only Werner and Havertz are likely to appear, with manager Frank Lampard ruling out Silva, Chilwell and Ziyech from Monday night's match.
The Seagulls have also been busy this summer, with midfielder Adam Lallana’s arrival from Liverpool being the standout signing.
