Chelsea failed to get the better of Champions Liverpool on Sunday, losing 2-0 to Jurgen Klopp’s side after Andreas Christensen’s first-half red card forced them to play half the match with 10 men.
The Blues have now lost their last four league games in a row against the Merseyside club, but Frank Lampard’s side remain 10th in the table thanks to their opening weekend victory.
Lampard has already added more than £200m worth of new talent to his squad, a figure which will creep up with the reportedly imminent arrival of Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, but there may still be a need for the boss to let some fringe players leave.
