Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Celtic vs AC Milan has been a regular Champions League match up in days gone by but they both have to settle for European football's second tier competition this season.

Both clubs will target long runs in it too. Although Milan aren't the powerhouse they once were, Neil Lennon will be cursing his luck that Celtic drew the Italian giants despite being seeded in Pot One for the draw.

And it's fair to say that as well as Milan boss Stefano Pioli looking forward to the game, the Italian media are excited for it too with some big praise for the Hoops.They do have doubts over whether Celtic will be as impressive in European competition without the backing of their support due to COVID-19, but they have compared them to the most successful club.
