WGA West & PGA Partner With Entertainment Community Fund, Pledging Combined $1M To Wildfire Relief

The Writers Guild of America West and the Producers Guild of America have both partnered with the Entertainment Community Fund to provide relief to members who have been affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

The WGAW Board as well as a number of members have already pledged more than $700,000 to the newly established Writers Guild Member Fund to provide grants to those in need, the guild said in a memo to members on Tuesday.

Likewise, the PGA said Tuesday that it will be contributing a portion of the net proceeds from the Producers Guild Awards to its own fund.

Along with donations from members, $300,000 has already been committed. Anyone in need of financial assistance through this fund is encouraged to apply here. “Solidarity is our strength and our Guild community comes together in times of crisis.
