Boxer David Jamieson says a win in his eighth professional bout on Friday will cement a British title shot – but doesn’t yet have an opponent.The Westwood fighter was due to fight Switzerland’s Benoit Huber at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but his opponent pulled out and he hasn’t yet got a replacement, as the news went to press.Jamieson trusts promoter Sam Kynoch to sort him out, and says a win in London would put him in a mandatory position for a cruiserweight title shot.The 29-year-old said: “This will cement me a top-10 ranking in Britain, and at that point the other boys at the top of the tree can’t run.“If you’re in the top-10 you’re in a mandatory position to take a run at a British title.
