closure last month.Grant's reopened after lockdown on April 5 but just one month later they had sadly decided to shut the shop down.The owner Grant Sutherland is looking forward to retirement alongside his wife Dorothea.David Wilson, the general manager, took time to thank local people online for their custom and always sticking by the small business.David had given the company over 30 years service, and started work there as a boy.He explained: “I started in Grant’s at the age of 16 on 5th March 1984 on a YTS scheme.“I was employed by the late Matt McMillan who was the manager of the shop at the time.“I am grateful that he saw the potential in me to do well.
