West Lothian Clarion host Scottish Cross-Country

dailyrecord.co.ukAfter an anxious wait for the official go-ahead, West Lothian Clarion acted as local hosts for the first round of this year’s Scottish Cross-Country (SXC) Mountain Bike Series at Beecraigs Country Park.
It marked the second time the club has hosted the event, with the day seeing a full programme of racing, from Under 8 to Grand Veteran races, including a number of “taster” categories to encourage people to try the sport for the first time.The team had made a few tweaks to last year’s course to make the event even better, showing off what the trails at the park have to offer.
The course again received much praise from competitors. Recent wet weather meant that sections of the course were much muddier than the last time the series visited,
