Mark Noble is using West Ham’s new 125th anniversary home kit - inspired by World Cup heroes Bobby Moore, Martin Peters and Geoff Hurst - in his mission to keep the East End club in the Premier League next season.
The Hammers will celebrate their landmark year with a brand new commemorative home strip, which is a retro throwback to the classic claret and blue glory days when the fabled trio of Moore, Peters and Hurst lifted the FA Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup before claiming the greatest prize of all with England in 1966.
Fortunes have been hiding ever since 1980 for West Ham, who now find themselves staring perilously towards the Championship in 17th place with just seven games to play.
