Wendy Williams Speaks Out On Recent Hospitalization, Denies She Is Incapacitated

Wendy Williams is breaking her silence on her recent hospitalization. On Monday (March 10), the 60-year-old former talk show host was taken from her assisted living facility and transported via ambulance to a local hospital.

However, during a new interview, Wendy explained that she wanted to go to the hospital to get an individual evaluation from a medical professional. Keep reading to find out more… “The police showed up.

I’m exhausted. I wanted to go to the hospital to talk to the doctor,” she said while on The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (March 11). Ginalisa Monterroso of the Connect Care Advisory Group also said that she was concerned that Wendy was “isolated” in her current living situation. “I am not incapacitated as I’ve been accused, and the floor that I live on is the memory unit.

The people who live there don’t remember anything, unlike me. Why am I here? What is going on? It’s a cry for help,” Wendy added. Wendy also claimed she scored a perfect score on a cognition test while at the hospital. Wendy‘s diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia & aphasia was revealed in February 2024, and she has been in an ongoing legal battle with her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey. Sabrina claimed Wendy is “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled and legally incapacitated,” a statement which Wendy has repeatedly denied.
