Weezer have announced the cancellation of their planned ‘SZNZ‘ box set due to them “not expecting enough sales to make it work.”Following their 2021 LP ‘Van Weezer’, Rivers Cuomo and co released a series of four seasonal EPs, SZNZ: ‘Spring’, ‘Summer’, ‘Autumn’, and ‘Winter’, in 2022.
Last year, the band announced that they would be releasing a ‘SZNZ’ box set on X/Twitter to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the EP series.
The tweet shared that the box set was “coming soon”, but there has been no update about the status of the set.Now, Karl Kooch – Weezer’s assistant, webmaster, archivist and “unofficial fifth member” – revealed that the plans for the ‘SZNZ’ box set have been scrapped.
