Three men have been arrested after police raided a cricket club suspected of being used to store stolen vehicles. Officers made the arrests after swooping on Burnage Community Sports and Social Club - also known as Burnage Cricket Club - earlier today (Thursday).
Two stolen vehicles were found at the site, in Mauldeth Road, along with a number of vehicle keys and licence plates. A haul of weapons and a dog suspected of being a banned breed were also seized.
Three men, aged 18, 20 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of offences including burglary, possession with intent to supply a controlled substance and possession of an offensive weapon.
