Standing proudly in the heart of residential Oswaldtwistle is a chip shop that has achieved heights only few in the region have managed.
And as we found out, it's homemade fishcakes are to die for - with lashings of salt and vinegar. Westend Fish and Chips, on Blackburn Road in the Lancashire town, has recently been quality accredited by the National Federation of Fish Friers - becoming one of only eight fish and chip shops in the whole of the North West to achieve the feat.
