A nurse who used to joke she 'looked like a prop forward' says she's now finally happy in her own skin after after flying abroad for weight loss surgery.
At her heaviest, Marie Rowe, 56, tipped the scales at more than 17st and wore a size 24 uniform. But now she's lost more than six stone and is a slim size 12 after undergoing undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in Latvia.
Marie, of Lymm in Cheshire, said: "There's a lot of rugby players in my family and I always joked that I was built like a prop forward.
Now I feel really happy with how I am." The palliative care nurse says she struggled with her appearance her entire life and began dieting when she started high school.
