The company behind the sudden appearance of numerous telecom poles in Greater Manchester has denied it is riding roughshod over the concerns of local residents and local councillors.
Full-fibre network provider BRSK has hit back after it was the subject of an exchange in the Trafford council chamber last week when a Timperley Central ward councillor raised concerns over the poles 'randomly appearing outside homes in the south of the borough.' Coun Simon Lepori questioned executive member for highways, environmental and traded services Coun Stephen Adshead over where the poles would appear next.
Coun Adshead responded by saying: “The council currently has no forward planning information for BRSK as they are only required to submit street works applications on a street-by-street basis four to six weeks prior to the works. “They are one of a number of companies working across the region.
