S Club kicked off their 25th anniversary reunion tour in Manchester with an emotional tribute to bandmate Paul Cattermole. Dubbed a preview show in aid of the British Heart Foundation, the five-piece began the Good Times Tour at the AO Arena on Thursday evening (October 13) for a colourful and joyful night full of karaoke classics like Reach and Don’t Stop Movin’.
But, already acknowledged ahead of the first show that it would be an emotional night for the band, all eyes were on how they would pay tribute to bandmate Paul - who passed away suddenly just six months ago from underlying heart conditions. His notable verses were also kept in place in some of the band’s biggest songs in honour of his significance within the band.
Following the performance of Good Times, Jo, Bradley, Tina, Jon and Rachel returned to the stage to share their love for Paul.
