Police have issued a stern warning after youths hurled bricks and stones at vehicles on the M60. Officers say six vehicles were damaged after being hit by projectiles between junction 2 and 3, near Cheadle, on Sunday afternoon (June 19).

Among the vehicles targeted by the youths was a lorry, which was left with a smashed windscreen. Police have now issued a public appeal for witnesses to the shocking incidents.

A post on the GMP Cheadle & Bramhall Facebook page yesterday read: "We received several reports yesterday afternoon (Sunday) of damage to 6 vehicles, including a smashed window screen on a lorry.
