It appears Shailene Woodley is trying to do something that many people have tried and failed to do previously—bring Janis Joplin’s life to the big screen.  According to a report from Variety, Shailene Woodley is set to star in a Janis Joplin biopic that will shoot in California. The report isn’t so much about the film itself than it is about the tax credits the film is going to receive to shoot on the west coast.
