A couple bought an old 1670s house for more than £500k and found a unique feature hidden within its historic walls. Emily, 48, and Phillip Jones, 51, became the proud owners of The Old House, a Grade 2 listed property, back in May 2021.

They then uncovered a well - which they've recently found to be 20 metres deep - and are now planning to restore it to its working condition.

Since moving into the property, the couple have now insulated the home, updated the heating system, repaired and replaced windows, revamped their kitchen, redecorated two bedrooms, and refurbished he sunroom.
