Wayne Lineker was cheered on by his son as the pair watched a throwback clip of him pushing women in a swimming pool as he made his debut on Celebs Go Dating on Monday night.

The Lineker's Bar owner, and younger brother of ex footballer Gary, signed up to the E4 reality series in the hopes of finding his perfect partner.

As the first episode went live, Wayne gathered his nearest and dearest on the sofa so they could watch the start of his journey.

As voiceover Rob Beckett introduced the 58-year-old to viewers, footage was shown of Wayne's controversial dating video that made headlines last year.
