Waterloo Road is coming back on the BBC as a new series is set for production. The hit TV drama aired from 2006 until 2015, set in a comprehensive school of the same name is returning - but no date has been confirmed as of yet.
The news was shared by the BBC on Thursday and the channel told that the series will be filmed in Manchester - instead of Scotland where the original series was filmed.
In 2011, the BBC announced they selected the Madeira Street building of Greenock Academy to film a new series of the TV drama.The show continued to film in Greenock from seasons 8-10 before the show ended, however crews for the show also filmed in Port Glasgow and Gourock.A tweet posted from the official Waterloo Road account read: "Psst.
