Matthew Hartley never imagined one of the most tragic times of his life would inspire him to find his true calling. Watching his father’s health decline was heartbreaking, but in those final days he witnessed something that changed his perspective forever.
He became so inspired by his dad’s caregivers that he decided to follow the profession himself – offering comfort, compassion and dignity to others in their last moments. “I was inspired to enter the care sector after witnessing the care my father received in his final days,” he said. It led me to reevaluate my own path and pursue something more meaningful.” Matthew spent five years working in the care industry before he discovered Visiting Angels, a home care provider in South Manchester offering personalised support to help individuals live independently in their own homes.
Services include personal care, companionship, respite care and domestic assistance. The provider was founded by Elmira Khoshrouz after she spotted a need for the service in her community.
