thefader.comThe 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards were broadcast on TV last night after being held in Atlanta on October 3. The show featured a number of impressive performances, including a tribute to a local Atlanta favorite, Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Recordings.
Dupri was joined on stage by Ludacris, Nelly, Lil Jon, Da Brat, Chingy, Bow Wow, Bone Crusher, Tyrese, and Dem Franchize Boyz.
There were plenty of contemporary names in the building, too, with performances from City Girls, GloRilla, and Fivio Foreign.
Sexyy Red, fresh from her appearance on Drake's For All The Dogs, ran through her solo hits “Pound Town” and “SkeeYee” and also joined DaBaby for his performance alongside Juvenile and Mannie Fresh.
