This is the moment thousands marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan and took part in Eid prayers. An estimated 20,000 took to Platt Fields park in Fallowfield for the 'Eid in the Park' event.
The weather stayed dry for long enough for the Muslim community from Manchester and beyond to largest take part in the largest outdoor Eid prayer in the country this year.
It is believed Eid al Fitr 2023 was their biggest yet at the Fallowfield park with prayers going ahead at 9.45am. The prayers marked the end of Ramadan - 30 days where Muslims have been fasting, praying and reflecting.
There were joyous scenes throughout the morning as friends, families young and old as well as neighbours gathered to pray, eat and celebrate.
