Music fans across the globe have been left shocked by the news of Liam Payne's death. The 31-year-old tragically fell from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina, where he had been on holiday.
Police in Buenos Aires are investigating the circumstances. Outside the Casa Sur Palermo hotel, local fans poured their hearts out and lit candles at an impromptu vigil for the star following his death on Wednesday evening (October 16).
Liam rose to global stardom as one-fifth of One Direction. The band were assembled by Simon Cowell in the 2010 series of ITV's The X Factor.
