Geese have covered the likes of Television‘s ‘Marquee Moon’ and Green Day‘s ‘American Idiot’ during their annual Geesefest residency in NYC.The Brooklyn rockers – comprised of Cameron Winter, Max Bassin, Dominic DiGesu and Emily Green – took over the Music Hall Of Williamsburg in New York this past weekend (December 5 through 7) for their annual homecoming shows to wrap up the year.During night one (December 5), Geese debuted a new song titled ‘Free As Hell’ and ended the night with an eccentric cover of the 1977 classic ‘Marquee Moon’.

On night two (December 6), the group debuted three new songs ‘Cobra’, ‘Half Real’ and ‘Here My Angels Come’. They also covered The Modern Lovers’ ‘Roadrunner’ and ended the night with a rendition of The Beatles ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy)’ (via Setlist FM).During the final night of Geesefest (December 7), the band took a moment to treat fans to an eccentric cover of Billie Joe Armstrong and co’s 2004 hit ‘American Idiot’.

Throughout all three gigs, Winter took the time to debut some of his solo material from his debut album ‘Heavy Metal’. With the help of his bandmates, the singer performed the likes of ‘$0’ and ‘Drinking Age’.The band’s last studio album was 2023’s ‘3D Country‘.

In a four-star review of the LP, NME described it as an album that “demonstrates their ability to mystify and dazzle with every twist”.It continued: “This is an album made by young people who’ve – quite literally – watched the world burn before their eyes.
