While the first season focused on Daphne Bridgerton's (Phoebe Dynevor) romance with the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), the second instalment focuses on the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony Bridgerton's (Jonathan Bailey) quest to find love. "It is only out of the greatest love of my family that I am to choose a wife with head and not my … heart," Anthony is heard saying.
When word gets out in the 'ton that Anthony is searching for a suitable wife to uphold the family name, he begins to court new arrival Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran).
However, he quickly finds himself having to prove his intentions to her older sister Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). "My honour is hanging by a thread that grows more precarious with every moment in your presence," Anthony is heard saying, seemingly to Kate.
