The new film stars Idina Menzel, Adam Sandler, his teenage daughters Sunny and Sadie, Samantha Loraine, and Sarah Sherman. Sunny Sandler plays the lead role of Stacy Friedman, who is in the midst of planning her dream bat mitzvah.“My bat mitzvah determines the rest of my life," Stacy says as the trailer opens. Lydia is plotting out a Candyland theme, while Stacy is painstakingly dreaming up a show-stopping New York City theme. Her mood board has everything: big entrance inspo, potential nail designs, ambitious musical acts like Olivia Rodrigo, and of course, Dua Lipa.
Right now, the only things dominating Stacy's world are her mitzvah and her crush on Andy Goldfarb.“One day, Andy Goldfarb will be mine, and you will have a cool boyfriend, too, and then we'll have adjoining lofts in Tribeca,” Stacy says to Lydia in the trailer.
