Warner Bros is filling out the 2025, 2026 calendar and beyond. Today, the Burbank, CA studio announced that New Line Cinema’s Mortal Kombat 2 will hit cinemas on Oct.

24, 2025 in Imax, while Drew Hancock’s Companion will kick off on Jan. 10, 2025, also in Imax. The Jeremy Slater written, Simon McQuoid directed Mortal Kombat 2 comes in the wake of the first film, which was released in 2021 as theaters were reopening, and in day-and-date theatrical plan with streaming service HBO Max.

Mortal Kombat opened to $23.3M stateside and ended its run at $42.3M domestic, $84.4M WW.
