Good Morning Britain viewers were left with "tears in their eyes" following war hero Ken Benow's touching comments about his carer Kia Tobin, 17.
Ken, 94, also became emotional when he spoke about not wanting to put his wife into a care home. Speaking on GMB today and dressed in his uniform alongside his carer, former Navy Officer Ken shared his memories of VE Day.
Ken previously broke hearts after Kia gave him a cushion with a picture of his late wife Ada printed on it. Asked by hosts Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins about his speech in the care home later and what he would say, Ken began to tear up.
He said: "I've had a marvellous life, I had the most marvellous wife in the world. I've got the most wonderful carer now in Kia.
