Coleen Rooney libel trial is set to be turned into a Channel 4 docu-drama series. The case, set in the High Court, and which saw Rebekah Vardy take on Coleen Rooney in court over a post made by the WAG in 2019, happened in May this year, with judgement expected soon, reports Sky News. This was when "It was. . . Rebekah Vardy's account" was born. The trial was dubbed Wagatha Christie in homage to iconic British crime novelist Agatha Christie.

And now, this trial will have television time of its own, in a two-part dramatic reconstruction. Verbatim court transcripts will be made up by TV production company Chalkboard, and Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama will air on Channel 4.

Scenes from the courtroom will be juxtaposed with analysis from the mainstream media, and actors will be cast play the main protagonists from the trial.
