A vulnerable Scots woman is missing in Italy after vanishing on a family holiday. Lisa Cairns, who suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, has not been seen since she left her accommodation in Naples 8am on Tuesday.
The 44-year-old who also suffers from hallucinations, did not take her medication with her or any belongings. Lisa, from Dundee, was staying in an apartment in Palazzo Mastelloni with her mum, Florence Jenkins, 68, step-dad, Vivian Jenkins, 64, and sister Nicola Cairns, 42, when she said she wanted to go on a morning walk for fresh air.
When her sister Nicola returned from the bathroom, Lisa had vanished. The family were due to fly home to Dundee yesterday but a desperate search is now underway to find her.
Step-dad Vivian told the Record: "We are distraught and worried sick. "Lisa was in the apartment and said she wanted to go for a walk yesterday morning.
