Vivian Olyphant Addresses Nepo Baby Debate While Starring With Dad Timothy on 'Justified: City Primeval'

The nepotism debate is still a hot topic among fans – and it’s one that Vivian Olyphant is talking about in her latest interview.

The actress is the real life daughter to Timothy Olyphant, and she also stars as his daughter on Justified: City Primeval, which just premiered on FX this past week.

While some might say she only got the role because of her dad, Vivian disagrees and while speaking to THR, revealed what her audition process was actually like. Keep reading to find out more… “I was always interested in it [acting] when I was younger, just from visiting my dad on his sets and watching him having fun,” Vivian explained to the outlet about her interest in the occupation. “…I knew that was the place where I wanted to be, and I would also put on shows for my family.” As far as the “nepo baby” debate goes, Vivian knows a lot about that. “But it’s a very normal thing for a child to be interested in something that their parents are doing,” she argued. “Especially if it’s something as fun as acting.

Having a parent that acts and knows the job and is supportive of it just makes it a lot better. So I knew about all that, but I’m just not paying attention to those comments.” Vivian also spoke about her audition for the role of Willa, saying that while her parents told her about it and helped her do her audition tape for it, it took a while for her to hear anything. “I heard back about a month after or maybe a little bit longer.
