On Saturday (February 8), the 30-year-old Scottish actor, best known for his roles in Monarch and Virgin River, took to Instagram to share a statement on the passing of his mom and stepfather, Dawn and Andrew Searle, after they were found dead in France. As of right now, police have not revealed the couple’s cause of death, however, local mayor Jean-Sébastien Orcibal dismissed speculation that the deaths were due to a burglary “gone wrong,” additionally telling BBC that “no knife was found.” According to The Guardian, public prosecutor Nicolas Rigot-Muller also addressed Andrew and Dawn‘s deaths, telling the press, “Both died violent deaths, but I cannot establish that either was a homicide.
