Daniel Wroughton Craig (born 2 March 1968) is an English actor. After training at the National Youth Theatre and graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991, Craig began his career on stage. Vin Diesel backs Sam Heughan to be next James Bond

Hollywood action hero Vin Diesel has backed Scots actor Sam Heughan to be the next James Bond. The A-lister is appearing alongside Heughan in comic book movie Bloodshot and says his co-star is more than capable of filling Daniel Craig's shoes.

Speaking to PA News Agency, Diesel said: "Of course he'd make a good James Bond. He'd make a good anything." Current 007 Craig, 52, has insisted the now delayed No Time To Die will be his last outing as the famed spy, leaving one of the most sought after roles in film up for grabs.

New Galloway's Heughan - best known for his role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander - is among the names regularly linked with the job.
