People are being urged to give their views on plans for a pedestrian crossing at a busy junction in Dumfries.The council and engineering company Stantec launched an online public consultation this week on the proposals for the Troqueer Road and Pleasance Avenue junction near to Halfords in the town.There were calls to make the roads accessible by concerned residents four years ago.Abbey ward councillor Ian Blake said: “This is long overdue as there’s no pedestrian favour here at all.“I am encouraging people to take part in this consultation.
