We know the judges have to be picky when it comes to Home of the Year, but Hugh Wallace seems to have taken this a little too far, perhaps because he doesn’t quite get the practicalities of parenting.
When viewing one of the Dublin homes, Hugh became fixated on the fact that the children’s room didn’t have a door to the garden which it overlooked and used this as a reason for not giving it a higher score.
However, parents across the country have disagreed with the judge’s opinion saying it would be unsafe, unwise and just plain asking for trouble to have a door leading to the garden from the child’s room.
