Shocking video footage has captured screams as lit fireworks were launched towards a tram in Manchester city centre on Sunday (October 16).
Footage taken from Exchange Square, outside the Arndale, show the fireworks going off, shooting along the ground and even beneath a tram.
Screams can be heard as the fireworks go off, causing multiple loud bangs as they fly in random directions. The incident was captured on Sunday evening, at around 5.30pm.
Witnesses said the fireworks were being 'pointed at people' before going off, leaving children and families screaming. In the clip, multiple loud bangs echo around the square as a crowd of people wait to board the Rochdale tram service.
