Victoria Beckham is currently facing waves of backlash over her TikTok content which some have suggested proves the singer is "out of touch".The video in question comes at a time when the country is facing a cost of living crisis with fuel and food prices reaching record levels.
In the TikTok clip, the former members of the Spice Girls, 48, can be seen sat at a table where she says: "Tell me you're posh without telling me you're posh." A butler then proceeds to reveal a plate of salmon and vegetables – followed by a popular sound clip which said: "I love it." After only making her debut on Thursday 14 July, the short video has already gained more than five million views.
The top comment, with 15,500 likes, says: "Tell me you’re out of touch, without telling me you’re out of touch." Another commenter with 5,000 likes said: "Read the room… this is not the time or place." A third said: "Victoria people can’t feed their kids." And a fourth wrote: "Just what you want to see as I walk to work due to petrol prices." However, not everyone slated the fashion designer with some suggesting she was only having a joke because her nickname is "Posh Spice".
One fan said: "Did I miss the part where Mrs Beckham was in charge of the country, finance and taxing? The video is a bit of fun, made me laugh." Another said: "I love Victoria’s sense of humour." A third supported commented: "I feel like the joke has gone RIGHT over people’s heads." This comes after Victoria was reportedly left too frightened to leave her house after a stalker tried to pick her daughter Harper, 11, up from school.
