Rangers FC fan who gritted his teeth and foamed at the mouth as he launched a vicious post-Old Firm derby assault on a complete stranger has been jailed.
John Duff was told he posed "a risk of serious harm" to the public by a sheriff when he appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday.
The 24-year-old battered Ian McDonald, 52, to the ground and kicked him repeatedly in the head shouting "F***** b******" - leaving his innocent victim with eye damage.
He later revealed he had been "looking all day for someone to leather" and "had ordered a cement-filled baseball bat on the Internet with the desire to cause somebody harm".The attack on Mr McDonald, which took place at Falkirk's Central Retail Park, happened after a Celtic vs Rangers match.
