Katcy Stephan CAA has announced that veteran agent Hildy Gottlieb is set to retire this month. Gottlieb, who joined CAA in 2022 following its acquisition of ICM Partners, has represented a diverse range of Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award-winning artists throughout her 48-year career.
Top clients include Kathy Bates, Olivia Colman, Walton Goggins, Jeff Goldblum and Michael Stuhlbarg. She moved to ICM’s Los Angeles office in 1980, following three years at J.
Michael Bloom Ltd. in New York. During her time there, she represented stars including of Eddie Murphy, Keanu Reeves, Helen Mirren, Christopher Guest and Bill Paxton.
Ten years later, Gottlieb left the agency world to work in production and to be a mother, running Alec Baldwin’s El Dorado Pictures banner for several years, and then moving to Paramount with her husband, Walter Hill, to oversee development of projects for the writer-director.
