Vernon Kay speaks out as viewers all say the same thing about him and co-host Emma Willis
manchestereveningnews.co.ukThousands tuned in BBC One to watch Team GB's homecoming party last night (Saturday, August 18) and away from celebrating the incredible achievements of the athletes, many viewers noticed the same thing about hosts Vernon Kay and Emma Willis.
After the show was aired last night comments flooded in remarking on the similarities between the co-presenters appearance, with Vernon reacting this morning during his morning slot on BBC Radio 2.
He said: "A lot of people commented, Emma and I have the same haircut. It wasn't intentional. I just swept it back." It turns out that even his mum had something to say about her son's choice of hairstyle: "After anything I do on telly I get a phone call from Gladys (his mum). 'Need you hair cut love, but apart from that you were brilliant." The TV and radio presenter then jokingly quipped 'alright, I'll do it', in response to his mother's demand for him to re-think his hair style. "The celebration was in your honour, and boy did you take advantage, that's all I'm saying.
We'll leave that there, we'll park that party bus well and truly, in a garage and bring it out in four years time for LA." He jokingly added: "Thank goodness for paracetamol," as it seemed like the antics of the event got the better of him the day after.
