Vernon Kay has opened up about his shot at soap life and why he wouldn't return if a better opportunity now came his way. Before finding fame as a presenter, the 50-year-old was an extra in Hollyoaks and also auditioned for the part as Rory 'Finn' Finnigan.
He also had blink-and-you-miss it parts in Coronation Street, filmed in the famous fictional pub The Rovers Return and newsagents The Kabin.
Addressing his soap past, he shared: "It's funny, I was in the first episode of Hollyoaks, I bought a pint in The Rovers and I bought a newspaper in The Kabin.
So, all I need to do is buy a pint in [EastEnders] Queen Vic and then I've got the kind of golden hand really."
