Five months after the tragic accident that took the life of  Kobe Bryant , his daughter Gianna and seven other people, the legal response from the helicopter pilot’s lawyer to the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Kobe’s widow  Vanessa Bryant  has caused quite a stir.

Island Express Helicopters has responded to the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Vanessa Bryant on February 24. In new court documents, filed on May 11 and obtained by HollywoodLife, the Los Angeles-based helicopter company argues that Kobe Bryant , 41, and his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, who was 13 at the time of the fatal crash, “had actual knowledge of all of the circumstances, particular dangers, and an appreciation of the risks involved and the magnitude thereof” of flying in the Sikorsky S-76B helicopter on January 26. The legal documents also claim that the Lakers legend and his teenage daughter therefore “voluntarily assume the risk of the accident, injury, and damages.”

Island Express, the company that owned the helicopter that crashed carrying Kobe Bryant, his then 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and 7 other passengers, killing them all, has released a statement about the crash via court papers.

The brother of pilot Ara Zobayan has responded to Vanessa Bryant's wrongful death lawsuit, claiming that Kobe Bryant and other passengers were responsible for their fatal Jan. 26 helicopter crash.

Berge Zobayan, the brother and representative of Ara George Zobayan, has responded to the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Vanessa Bryant on February 24. Ara is the pilot who was killed alongside Kobe Bryant and seven others in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, CA earlier this year. In new court documents, filed on May 8 and obtained by HollywoodLife, Berge argues that all passengers are to blame for the fatal crash. Passengers included: Kobe, 41, Gigi, 13, Alyssa Altobelli, 14, John Altobelli, 56, Keri Altobelli, 46, Payton Chester, 13, Sarah Chester, 45 and Christina Mauser, 38. HollywoodLife has reached out to Vanessa Bryant’s lawyer for comment.

 Vanessa Bryant  had the sweetest Mother’s Day, thanks to her four girls.  Kobe Bryant ’s wife was showered with love and gifts, on what was the first Mother’s Day since the passing of her husband and their 14-year-old daughter  Gianna Bryant . Vanessa’s 17-year-old daughter Natalia took to social media to share a sweet post dedicated to her mom. “Happy Mother’s Day,” she wrote. Next to the message was a collage of photos of V and her oldest daughter. On the pics, the message “I Love You Momma” was placed in the middle.
