The pair were two of nine passengers aboard a helicopter that crashed in California on the 26 January 2020. On the first year anniversary of their death, Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife and Gianna’s mum, took to social media to share a touching letter from one of Gianna’s close friends.
