A van with missing wing mirrors, a bald tyre, and a screwdriver used to keep the doors closed has been taken off the road by cops.
The white van was stopped in Bolton town centre, police say, after officers spotted it in a poor condition. When the driver pulled over, cops discovered a plethora of ‘defects’.
They included ‘bald tyres’, ‘missing wing mirrors’ — and most surprisingly, a screwdriver was being used to keep the back doors shut.
Officers also found the motor had no insurance and seized the vehicle. A tweet from Greater Manchester Police’s traffic division said: “This Sprinter was stopped in Bolton centre by [police vehicle] XT11 due to the condition of the vehicle. “Numerous defects — doors being held shut by a screwdriver, bald tyre, missing wing mirrors and a cracked windscreen! “Found to have no insurance.
