Kilmer starred opposite Chris O’Donnell in the 1995 film “Batman Forever” — which also saw the debut of the infamous “Bat-nipple” suit — before being replaced by George Clooney for the 1997 franchise entry “Batman & Robin.” The news of the 62-year-old actor’s potential return to Gotham comes shortly after Warner Bros.
decided to shelve the upcoming “Batgirl” film, which starred Leslie Grace as the titular character with Michael Keaton reprising his role as Batman.
