Yet again, it’s been a privilege to play a small part in recognising and celebrating unsung heroes from across this great nation as part of the Scotland’s Champions campaign.

Your inspirational stories of courage and kindness made for a special awards night at the DoubleTree Hotel in Glasgow. Just like the champions we saluted just a few short weeks ago, Utilita always wants to go the extra mile and do the right thing.That’s why we have redoubled our efforts to help households – not just our own customers but every household in the UK – cut their annual energy costs.Building on our hugely successful Energy High 5 campaign, which is about to enter its fourth year, we’ve launched a national rollout of a huge 15-point energy-saving campaign, which could save each household more than £500 per year.Everyone in the UK is invited to access a free 45-minute workshop dedicated to helping households cut their annual energy costs.The free-to-attend ‘Bill Buster’ sessions will be delivered by our staff at Utilita - the UK’s only energy supplier created to help households use less energy.

Just to make sure every household has the chance to attend, the sessions can be accessed virtually via a live link, watched as a video, attended in person at any of our High Street Energy Hubs, or by attending a community-based session at thousands of schools and community spaces across the UK.The sessions will focus on a checklist of 15 simple ways to cut energy spend at home, covering efficient gas and electricity usage, cost-effective cooking and hot water use.
