Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Urgent appeal to trace Scots schoolboy, 14, who travelled from Fife to Peterhead

Police Scotland have launched an appeal to trace a missing 14-year-old who was disappeared last week. Dean Emslie, 14, was last seen by family near Pitscottie in Fife at around 11pm on Thursday, December 1.

He was reported missing the following morning after failing to return home. Authorities believe the last confirmed sighting of the schoolboy was around noon in the Hope Street area of Peterhead on Friday, December 2.

Dean is described as being around 5ft11in tall, with a slim build and brown hair. He is believed to have been wearing a black Nike hat, black tracksuit and white Nike trainers.

Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage in and around the area in the hopes of tracing the missing teen. They are now asking anyone who may have seen Dean to get in touch.Anyone who may have seen Dean since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0632 of December 2.
